Your telegram of 23rd March steamer for Sugar Refinery. If the ship in question is already British no immunity from requisition can be granted, though Admiralty woul give special consideration if ship chartered were one con- tinuous trading on the East. If neutral, Admiralty etete that guarantee is given to British purchasers that ship will not be requisitioned except in case of extreme necessity and in that event occuring would be at current market rates. This may be taken as in effect equivalent to exemption from requisitioning if a neutral ship is purchased.
